5. Architecture Committee Update Gary Pinnell
Ed Orschel
Tom Ward
There were only a few minor Architecture Committee requests this year, i.e. new roofs.
Kathy Hunter wanted to discuss the role of the HOA Architecture Committee regarding new home styles. A new home has been built that is more contemporary. Do the Prospector neighbors want this type of architecture when our CC&R’s call for “Turn of the Century/Victorian” style homes. It was agreed that Prospector Park probably needed to allow “Mountain Craftman” look in order to keep up with other Park City neighborhoods for potential real estate values. The home in question was approved by Park City Municipal without HOA approval because our City registration had lapsed. Our registration has now been assured. This was a “one off” inadvertent occurrence.
6. Election of Trustees-The Board of Trustees met electronically on January 12, 2020 to fill the unexpired vacancies of Emery Blanchard and Cynthia Sandoval. Helen agreed to serve again as President. We agreed to increase the number of Trustees from 9 to 11 to give new members of the association an opportunity to serve. We appointed Sallie Rinderknecht, Kelly Mugford and Elizabeth Demers to fill three of the positions, leaving one vacant. At this meeting on May 5, we have one unfilled vacancy, plus we need to replace or re-elect:
3 Trustees expiring 2020:
Shannon O’Neal
Helen Strachan
Jay Sheridan
So we need to elect 4 members to the Board of Trustees.
Elizabeth Demers moved and Shirin Spangenberg seconded a motion to reappoint Shannon O’Neal, Helen Strachan and Jay Sheridan and to elect Theo (?? Carly Axtell’s husband) as 4th member. All approved.
7. Election of Construction/Architecture Committee, annually to replace or re-elect:
Gary Pinnell
Ed Orschel
Tom Ward
It was moved by Chris Haslock and seconded by Francie McNally to reappoint Gary Pinnell, Ed Orschel and Tom Ward to Construction/Architecture Committee. All approved.
It was agreed to have a new committee to update our three entry signs. Elizabeth Demers will chair and will invite Sandy Bergland to help her.
8. Discussion regarding dues- Waiver of dues for 2020?
It was recommended by Sally Elliott that we do not collect HOA fees for the 2020-2021 period.
Shirley Wright made the motion to not collect dues. Nancy Pinnell seconded. All approved.
9. Other Business:
Lobstah Party-Discussion regarding cancellation
Due to the City/County Covid-19 rules that do not allow mass gatherings of more than 20 people, it was agreed to cancel the 2020 Lobstah Party. It was suggested that we support local Prospector restaurants in lieu of the party. Sammy’s is owned by one of our members and Freshie’s can supply the lobster we’ll be missing.
Driveway Parties
We will try to continue our summer driveway parties but they will need to be limited to 20 people based on email RSVP. Shirley Wright, Cathy Ganson and Sallie Rinderknecht will coordinate these get togethers. Sallie has the box of flamingos.
10. Adjournment
It was moved to adjourn the meeting by Sallie Rinderknecht and seconded by Shirley Wright. All approved.
Meeting adjourned at 7:55 pm.
