2. Park City Municipal
Walkability/Open Space/Sustainability: Heinrich Dieter announced that the old Poison Creek Trail will be widened and improved to accommodate an increase in traffic. Walkability alternatives sought for “Jan’s-to-Dan’s” with underpasses, etc. Stoneridge and Round Valley are now contiguous, PC Heights trails will be extensive and will connect to Lost Prospector.
Silver Creek Clean-up: Jim Blankenau announced that a new web page about soil maintenance was coming. We will post links to www.prospectorpark.com as they are available. E-notify is there now. Data Collection for PC drain will be completed in June. United Park City Mines and EPA study of Silver Creek clean-up of Silver Maple hearing in Fall. Contaminated soil in Prospector Park must be covered with soil that tests at lead less than 200 parts per million.
Water Projects: Roger McClain said that pipeline decision on Judge water would either be along Kearns or through Deer Valley/PC Golf Course. Water “audit” for efficiency of drip systems can be accomplished free by PCMC-Jason Moore. WaterSmart program being initiated to help citizens conserve water.
Paving Projects: Roger McClain said that Wyatt Earp paving would be re-done and completed in May.
Film Studio: Diane Foster says that the first buildings are approved to begin and will be done according to Park City standards.
Emergency Planning: Hugh Daniels passed out family planning brochures. City’s focus is on security and safety. He urged us to register cell phones on “Reverse 911”. Go to www.parkcity.org to find the link. Get a family communication plan in place establishing a person out of the area as a contact and prepare food/water for 5-7 days because Summit County could become detached from the Wasatch Front. Nitro Pack in Heber and Emergency Essentials in Salt Lake City are good sources of non-perishable products.

- Architecture Committee Update: Ed Orschel and Paul Tan reported that nothing major had been filed, just remodels, etc. Anything that requires a building permit also requires HOA approval.

- Dues-June 1, 2014-May 31, 2015 will remain at $25.
- Other Business: Lobstah Party-June 14, 2014—limited to 120 lobsters—for dues paying members only and their guests. Marc Christensen is doing an admirable job at his own personal expense of establishing and maintaining our neighborhood website: www.prospectorpark.com. Use it frequently, as we will post news of events and links to helpful information from Park City Municipal. Driveway cocktail parties will continue with the first being at Hop Hopkins and Kathryn Belczyk’s, Friday, May 14, 5:00 p.m., 2730 Sidewinder. The second will be at Melanie and Ben Martin’s, 2475 Annie Oakley on a date to be announced. Look for the pink flamingo. Melanie and Ben Martin circulated a petition to allow high quality vinyl siding throughout Prospector Park and received a page of signatures in support of their effort.
